If another layer of cover glass (PS: not tempered protective film) is laminated on the surface of capacitive touch screen device, will it affect the touch?
Laminating another layer of cover glass on the surface of capacitive touch screen device is achievable, but it needs to meet some conditions:
1. whether the chip is supported is an important factor. Firstly, we have to confirm that the capacitive touch screen chip can support to how thick the glass, and then confirm the thickness of the double layer cover glass. Some special capacitive touch screen IC through debugging, can support to the total thickness of 6mm glass cover, that is, if the original cover thickness of 3mm, the additional cover glass thickness can be 3mm.
2. The lamination between two pieces of glass is achieved by optical adhesive, and there can't be any air layer in the middle. This means that the cover glass can't be attached casually, it needs to be done by professional machine.
