1. Thickness of cover glass

Both types of glass have increased strength due to a post-production process (chemical or heat treatment). When chemically toughened glass is broken, it shatters in long shards, unlike regular glass. Thermally toughened glass has a different structural appearance when broken, it breaks into smaller particles.
